Matthew Shanahan is an Australian lawyer, Notary Public, Registered Tax Agent and Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia. Matthew has the following degrees: a Bachelor of Business (with Distinction), a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Master of Laws. Matthew has worked as an Australian tax specialist for more than ten years in two of the largest accounting firms in the world (Andersen and Ernst & Young), Australia's largest specialist tax advisory firm (Greenwoods & Freehills) and one of Australia's largest law firms (Mallesons Stephen Jaques). Matthew has provided Australian income tax advice to some of the largest companies in the world and has worked on some of the largest corporate transactions in Australian history. In addition, he has successfully been involved in lobbying for various changes to Australia's tax laws.
